John Lewis - The Virtual Store?

No, we don't mean an eCommerce website! See the product you want, scan the QR code, check-out online and walk home baggage-free! Simple.

Bromley FC Receive QR-Haircuts

Wayne Rooney may be happy with his haircut; but will the same be true for the players of Bromley FC? The club has hired Wayne Rooney's hairdresser to shave QR codes into the backs of their player's heads!

It's uncertain what the benefit of this will be since it's not very likely that the QR codes will be easily readable. Down on the pitch the players will be too far away for excited fans to "scan" and additionally the spherical nature of the human head will only trouble our smartphones!

eBay Opens Doors in London

You may as well read the John Lewis section again, because this is exactly the same idea! Visit the eBay store on the high-street, scan the items you wish to purchase or bid on and go home. The eBay store is supposed to open shortly on 34 Dean Street and aims to bring bargain-priced online goods within the reach of the net-phobic.
